EMI, Universal, Warner and Sony BMG are playing a dangerous game. Policing the internet is going to
prove very unpopular and may be the destruction of them. Whatever about stopping people downloading illegally, their new venture of pulling videos from YouTube will not be too much problem for those of us who grew up in a time when using your imagination while listening to a tune could create video.
Those poor mongs from the bebo generation can’t actually hear a song without having a visual signification. Maybe it’s time to boycott these big record companies. Will the youth of today make a stand? Will they stop buying mainstream artists’ music in an attempt to subvert the norms that are being created for them by the “big 4”?
Like fuck, they will!
Here’s a song about EMI. The studio version is unavailable as it has been taken off YouTube. You’d think they made their money back off the Sex Pistols by now, wouldn’t you?
